George Westley Lambert, age 67, of McCaysville, GA, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Fannin Regional Hospital.He was born on December 16, 1947 in Lansing, Michigan to the late Carl Lambert and Thera Carpenter Lambert. He was a member of and former deacon of Harvest Church of Cleveland, TN. He loved airplanes and antique cars.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Lynn Johnson of the home; children and spouses, Karl and Cheryl Lambert of W. Jefferson, NC, Tammy and Michael Johnson of Cleveland, TN, Kim and Everett Ford of Cleveland, TN, and Christopher and Marissa Jones of Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany; brother, Groover Prescott; sisters, Priscilla “Pat” Bearden, Carla M. Lambert-Costner, Michelle Duffey Burgess, Paula Prescott, Beverly Craft, Drenda Medina, Doris Keefer, and Sue Stevens; three grandchildren, Austin Lambert, Hannah Jones, and Lauren Jones.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Delmar Davenport officiating. Music will be by Dena Jo Bearden.
