Bramlett Wins Teacher of the Year

Fannin County School System held its annual Teacher of the Year Banquet on January 15th.
The event was held at Willow Creek Falls as family and friends of the nominees and past winners of the award gathered for this year’s recognition.

The nominees for the award were

Gini Bramlett – Blue Ridge Elementary School

Christian Hood – East Fannin Elementary School

April Shinpaugh – West Fannin Elementary School

Sandy Walden – Fannin Middle School

Lynn Burch – Fannin County High School

Several special guests were on hand as over 15 previous Teacher of the Year Winners were introduced as well as the school board and sponsors of the event.

Fannin County School Superintendent Mark Henson told of the process of being nominated by peers at each school then going through several interview processes to come to a winner.

Ms. Gini Bramlett was selected as the 2016 Fannin County Teacher of the Year with Ms. April Shinpaugh being runner-up.

Ms. Bramlett grew up in Marietta, Georgia.  She graduated from the University of Georgia, She earning her Master’s degree in Special Education. She is currently working with the special education children at Blue Ridge Elementary.
