Daily Prayer: January 16, 2015

“But God forbid that I should glory, save in the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.”
Galatians 6:14O God of the Cross, who spared not your own Son but gave Him as a ransom for many, we bless your name. At the Cross we found understanding of our human predicament, love that overshadowed our sin, forgiveness that cleansed our souls, and a way of life that brought us purpose and joy. Daily we still find all of these graces and are helped.

Dear Lord, cause this one who thinks of the Cross to come to the Cross where the Savior became poor that we might be rich. In the riches of faith we abound with thanksgiving for all of this which was done for us. May we live this day in the power of the Cross of Christ.

Amen
