Mrs. Bonnie Mae Campbell, age 89 of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at her home.She was born in Fannin County on Monday, April 13, 1925, to the late Fred and Hallie Pittman Gray. Mrs. Campbell had been employed at Fannin County Nursing Home as a dietician. She attended Union Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Clifton Campbell; son, Doug Campbell; sisters, Hazel Holland, Stella Gray, Ruby Botts, Mollie Nicholson, Kathleen Gray and Thelma Johnson and brothers, Homer, Carl, Jib, Billy and L.H. Gray.
Survivors are daughter, Kathy Campbell of Blue Ridge, GA; three grandchildren and spouses, Beth and Todd Geren, Kelly and Kevin Hughes and Levi and Akayla Campbell; five great grandchildren, Hayden Douglas Campbell, Hannah Geren, Christian Geren, Carter Campbell and Brenson Campbell also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 12, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Jeff Fair and Rev. Nathan Campbell officiating. Music will be by Renee Watkins and Charlie Farmer. Interment will follow in the Salem #2 Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Levi Campbell, Kevin Hughes, Steve Holland, Scott Johnson, Paul Nicholson and Kenneth Nicholson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, January 12, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour of 3:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
