George Andrew Gibbs, 68 of Mineral Bluff, GA passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.He was born Monday, June 3, 1946 in Mineral Bluff to the late Jace and Delma Gibbs. He is preceded in death by his wife, Burgia Jewel Baker Gibbs.
He is survived by Sons, William Gibbs of Blue Ridge, Jimmy Gibbs (Amanda), of Mineral Bluff, and Tim Gibbs of Mineral Bluff; Brothers, Jerry Gibbs of Mineral Bluff and Thomas Gibbs of Mineral Bluff, sisters, Linda Faye Smith and Barbara Pittman; and 5 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, December 21, 2014, at 2:00 P.M. in the Akins Funeral Home Chapel in Blue Ridge. Rev. Danny Queen will officiate. Interment will follow in the Hot House Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 12:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
