Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces the death of Mr. Claxton Holloway, age 82, of Blairsville, who passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014.
Claxton was born in Suches, Georgia, on November 2, 1932, a son of the late Clifford Holloway and the late Aluna Akins Holloway. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and served during The Korean War. Claxton had lived in Norcross, Georgia, for 34 years, and worked as an automobile mechanic for Camp Chevrolet in Doraville, Georgia. He moved back to Blairsville in 1998. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Price Holloway, and a sister, Nina Fedderson.
Claxton will be tenderly remembered and missed so much – especially by his family members: wife, Betty Killian Holloway; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Richard Moore, of Winder, Georgia; and two grandchildren, Tiffany Aljure, of Seattle, Washington, and David Meyer, of Winder.
The family will hold private services at the home at a later date.
