Mrs. Phoebie Nell Cantrell, age 83, of the Life Care Center of Copper Basin passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014.Phoebie was born in Murray County, GA to James and Clara Hooker and was retired from the Levi Strauss Company where she had worked for thirty years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Cantrell and son Steve Cantrell.
She is survived by sons, Larry (Connie) Cantrell of Ducktown, TN, Johnny Cantrell of Turtletown, TN; brother, Leon Parker of Dalton, GA; five grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 21st at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Donald Weaver officiating. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Chancey, Herman (Ducie) Waters, Randy Westmoreland and Rick Westmoreland. Interment will follow in the Mt. Carmel cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Condolences to the family may be sent to www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
