Mr. Roy Edward Galloway Sr., age 73 of Copperhill, TN passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2014. Mr. Galloway was born in McCaysville, GA to the late Ralph and Mary Christopher Galloway. He was retired from Firestone Steel where he worked as a line foreman in auto assembly. He was of the Full Gospel faith. He was preceded in death by siblings, James Galloway and Brenda Taylor.
He is survived by his wife of fifty one years, Lois Postelle Galloway; sons, Roy (Lisa) Galloway, Jr of Copperhill, TN, Chris (Lorie) Galloway of Morganton, GA, Jeremy (Melissa) Galloway of Morganton, GA; brothers, Bob (Dottie) Galloway of Lincoln Park, MI, Ray (Susan) Galloway of South Gate, MI; grandchildren, Tina Hayes, Jacob Galloway, Ryan Galloway, Brett Galloway, Kimberly Galloway, Dawson Galloway, Kaitlin Tucker, Kyra Galloway, Hailey Tucker, Chase Galloway and Hannah Tucker. Great grandchildren, Channing Beach, Brintlie Beach and Zachary Beach.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 7th at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Gary Queen officiating. Music will be by Kimberly Galloway. Mr. Galloway will be cremated. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Condolences to the family may be sent to www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
