Mr. Denny Lee Cantrell: Obituary

Mr. Denny Lee Cantrell, age 56 of Mineral Bluff, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2014 at his home with his family by his side.Mr. Cantrell was born July 6, 1958 in Tate, GA to the late Ted Cantrell and the late Geraldine Matthews Cantrell. A member of the Welcome Hill #2 Baptist Church, he was preceded in death by step-father, Harley Pettigrew and sister, Vanessa Pettigrew. Denny loved music. He was an outdoors man, and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time.

Survivors include loving wife, Sharon Stamey Cantrell, daughter, Alicia (Chris) Miller, son, Adam (Julia) Cantrell, daughter, Akayla (Levi) Campbell, brother, Danny (Nancy) Cantrell, brother, Tony (Robin) Pettigrew, sister, Shelty (Marty) Moss, eight grandchildren, Vanessa Miller, Bailey Miller, Autumn Miller, Carter Campbell, Brensen Campbell, Constance Cantrell, Alayna Cantrell, and Lily Barry. Also several nieces and nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Welcome Hill Baptist Church #2 with the Rev. Jack Buchanan officiating. Music provided by the Daily Bread Trio . Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joshua Cantrell, Brandon Moss, Nicholas Pettigrew, Wendell Kell, Jimmy Lee, and J.J. Lee. Honorary pallbearers are Denny’s cousins.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Monday, August 18, 2014 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm and also Tuesday, August 19, 2014 from 9:00 am – 9:00 pm.
