Dorothy “Willene” Loudermilk : Obituary

Mrs. Dorothy “Willene” Loudermilk, age 90, of Epworth, GA passed away July 15, 2014 at the Life Care Center of Copper Basin. Born in Isabella, TN she was the daughter of the late James Henry and Fay Hawkins Clonts. Mrs. Loudermilk worked for many years as an LPN at the Copper Basin Medical Center. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Epworth and had volunteered her time with the Fannin Regional Hospital Auxiliary. Willene was preceded in death by her husband Edgar Lee Loudermilk; brothers, Harmon Raymond, Ernest, Hoyt, and Ralph Clonts.

Survivors include her daughter, Lesa Burgess of Epworth, GA; grandchildren, Jordan Burgess of Dunwoody, GA and Laina Burgess of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Elizabeth Beaver of Epworth, GA, Joann Walden of McCaysville, GA and Charlotte McCombs of San Antonio, TX; nephews and nieces, Mark Anderson, Kelly Anderson, Vicky Bell, Glenda Messer and Michael Clonts.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Music will be provided by Homer Johnson, Jr. and Sharon Crenshaw. Interment will follow in the Epworth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday prior to the service from 5p.m until 7p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the research of Dementia and Alzheimer’s at www.alzheimersresarchfoundation.com. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge,GA is in charge of arrangements.
