Myrtle Susann Allen Walz : Obituary

Mrs. Myrtle Susann Allen Walz, age 85, of Epworth, GA, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014 at her home.Mrs. Walz was born on December 26, 1928 in Fannin County, GA. She was a member of Bethany Church. Mrs. Walz was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Homer Allen and Ella Pauline Sluder Allen; her husband, Edwin Fredrick Walz, Jr., and two sons, Ray Walz and Rik Walz.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Betty Walz of Epworth, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Joann and Arvil Mealer of McCaysville, GA; daughter-in-law, Nancy Walz Miller; brothers, Bill Allen of Blairsville, GA, Dan Allen of McCaysville, GA, and Casey Allen of Morganton, GA; sisters, Mae Davenport of Blue Ridge, GA, Lorene Allen Hall of Branford, FL, Ruth Allen Keith of McCaysville, GA, and Shirley Allen Walker of Blue Ridge, GA; a grandchild, David Lee Walz; and three great grandchildren, Gabriel Walz, Lillian Walz, and Mason Walz.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany Church with Rev. Jimmy Dickey officiating. Music will be by Brenda Patterson, Sherry Walden, Althea Davenport, and Shirley Walker. Pallbearers will be David Walz, Matt Stevens, Terry Allen, Rodger Keith, Jason Allen, and Danny Walker. Interment will follow in Helping Hand Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 11:00 until 1:30 when the family will leave the funeral home in procession to the church for the service.
