Edith Ellen Patterson : Obituary

Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces funeral services for Edith Ellen Patterson, affectionately known as “Tip”, age 75, of Morganton, Georgia, who passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 in Blairsville.
“Tip” was born in Union County, Georgia, on November 24, 1938, a daughter of the late Gurley Raper and the late Blanche Cook Raper. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. Besides her parents, a sister, Helen Patterson, and a brother, James Raper, had preceded her in death.

“Tip” leaves behind numerous family members who loved her and will miss her greatly: husband, Vaughn, of Blairsville; daughter, Jeannie Curbow, of Morganton; son, Joey Vaughn Patterson, and daughter, Joanah Patterson, both of Blairsville; a sister, Mary Christine Raper, of Blairsville; four grandchildren: Dave Patterson, of Blairsville; Jeff Locke, of Morganton; Shana Allen, of Copperhill, Tennessee; and Shona Curbow, of Morganton; great grandchildren: Logan and Bridgette Allen, Hailey Patterson, Haven Patterson, Halo Patterson, Athan Locke, and Ava Locke.

Funeral services for Mrs. Patterson have been scheduled for Monday, March 10, 2014, at 4:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville. Burial will be in Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Monday, starting at 3:00 p.m., one hour before the funeral starts.
