Robert Arthur Marshall, age 93 of Young Harris, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2013 at his home. Mr. Marshall was born October 5, 1920 in Ducktown, TN to Frank and Golden Wright Marshall. Mr. Marshall had lived most of his life in the North Georgia area and was a Dairy Farmer for many years belonging to the Dairy Farmers Association and the Cattlemens Association. Robert attended Old Brasstown Baptist Church and had been active in the Towns County Historical Society. Mr. Marshall was a WW II Army Veteran.
Survivors include: daughter, Terry Lynne Marshall, ex-wife, Dora Marshall, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Memorial services are scheduled for Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Old Brasstown Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Stiles officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Brasstown Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors by the North Georgia Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the Old Brasstown Baptist Church 30 minutes prior to the service Tuesday.
