James Ashe, Jr., age 67 of Murphy, passed away November 5, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Ashe, Jr. was born December 25, 1945 in Cherokee Co. NC, to the late Leonard Ashe Sr. and the late Nettie Sue Dockery Ashe. A member of Old Fashion Baptist Church, he was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include: wife, Cheryl Beavers Ashe, son, Mike Ellison, daughter, Connie Ashe Deece, sisters, Juanita Roper, Hazel Elkins, Rheta Crain & Kathleen Green, brothers, Lloyd Ash & Hillard Ashe and 5 grandchildren.
Funeral services: Thursday, November 7, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. at the Cochran Funeral Home, Murphy, NC, with the Rev. Hoyt Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Fashion Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013 at the Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy NC, .
