Donna Whitener is seeking re-election for mayor of Blue Ridge. She looks forward to serving the citizens and businesses of Blue Ridge for another four years.She is uniquely qualified for continuing to lead the city into the future. She was born and raised in Fannin County, and she is an active member at Hemptown Baptist Church. Donna has been a business owner in Blue Ridge for thirty years. She is active in the community and serves on the following boards: The Appalachian Children’s Center, Highland Rivers, Optimist Club of Blue Ridge, CCEO, 2nd Vice-President of Georgia Municipal Association, and a member of NWGRC.
Donna feels that this economic time requires that Blue Ridge continue to minimize expenses and allow the citizens and businesses to continue to progress forward. We have been moving forward and need to continue to do so. Since she is a resident and business owner in the city, she cares about the concerns and future of both groups of people.
Donna has three grown children: Brandon, Eric, Kristan, and she has to granddaughters: Lily and Claire. She believes in strong family values and high moral standards.
Serving the citizens of Blue Ridge is a tremendous honor and privilege. She looks forward to continuing to serve the citizens and businesses of Blue Ridge.
