Ms. Linda “Tuly” Fodo, age 63, of Blue Ridge, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2013 at her home. Ms. Fodo was born May 8, 1950 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Harold Schwalbe and Mickey Schwalbe. Tuly was involved in many projects in Fannin County. She was a founding member of the Feed Fannin program and she was the President for the last two years of the Blue Ridge Farmer’s Market. She was also a Snack in a Back Pack volunteer and she was a part of the Raise a Cow Project benefiting the Fannin Food Bank. Her tireless efforts for the good of the community at large will be remembered by all whose lives she touched. She was loved by many and her effervescent personality will be missed.
Survivors include: mother, Mickey Schwalbe of Miami, Fl., sister, Phyllis Jacus of San Diego, CA., and best friend, Libby Stewart of Blue Ridge.
A Memorial Celebration will be held on September 7, 2013. The time and location will be decided later.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Feed Fannin and the Fannin County Food Bank.
