Kathy Mae Westmoreland, age 54, of McCaysville, GA passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013 at her home. She was born September 7, 1958 in Baltimore, Maryland. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and was of the Baptist faith. Ms. Westmoreland was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Ann Saine Curtis and a brother Bobby Junior Curtis.
She is survived by her companion of twelve years, Terry McClure of McCaysville; son, Jamie Lee Westmoreland of Murphy, NC; daughter, Stephanie Marie Deal of McCaysville; father, Bobby Curtis and his companion, Marie Hughes of Epworth; sisters, Susie Bolling and Janice Ann Curtis, both of Blue Ridge; and four grandchildren, Kaelyn Marie Deal, Bryson Bolling, Alyssa Bolling, and Lilly Bolling.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 18, 2013 a 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Denise Caldwell and Rev. Max Curtis officiating. Music will be conducted by The Beach Family. Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Bolling, Daniel Bolling, Bradley Deal, Chad Deal, and Rick Westmoreland. Interment will follow in Epworth Baptist Church Cemetery.
