After attempting to get a statement from Blue Ridge Housing Authority managers Misti Crowder and Crystal Guy, the managers requested we contact their attorneys for a response regarding the recent events at the office. After FYN received the attorneys’ contact information, several phone calls and emails were sent to obtain a response. After speaking with Guy’s attorney, Keith Galligan emailed the reporter with a joint statement regarding both employees. It reads as follows:

It is our understanding that a small number of unhappy tenants have made complaints to federal regulators of the past several years. These complaints have been examined by federal investigators, and no charges have ever been brought against Ms. Guy or Mrs. Crowder. Ms. Guy and Mrs. Crowder have cooperated fully with the federal investigators.
Ms. Guy and Mrs. Crowder insist they are innocent of any wrongdoing.
