Johnny Lewis : Obituary

Johnny Lewis, age 78 of Blue Ridge, passed away March 4, 2013 at the Emeritus Assisted Living Facility in Canton. Mr. Lewis was born February 25, 1935 in Columbiana, AL to the late Marvin Johnson Lewis and the late Lessie Lurine Armstrong. He is a retired systems programmer for the US Defense Department, a United States Navy veteran serving during the Korean War period, he was preceded in death by father, Marvin Johnson Lewis, mother, Lessie Lurine Lewis, son, Harold Gregory Gibson.

Mr. Lewis is lovingly survived by his wife, Bobbie Lewis, daughter, Cynthia (Larry) Killingsworth, son, John Randal (Donna) Lewis, son, George Robert (Lisa) Lewis, son, Gary Scott (Christi) Lewis, son, David Steven (Margie) Gibson, daughter, Susan Jeanine (Marty) Frye, twenty grandchildren, and nineteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Henry Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Garrett officiating. Music provided by: Jacob & Laurie McBrayer. Honors will be presented by the N. Georgia Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge on Wednesday, March 06, 2013 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
