Robert “June” Taylor : Obituary

Mr. Robert “June” Taylor, age 86, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 at his home.Mr. Taylor was born in Fannin County, GA on May 14, 1926 to the late Elmer Sylvester Taylor and Donnie Mae Clayton Taylor. He was a self-employed business owner and was a member of Blue Ridge First Baptist Church. He was a World War II Army Combat veteran. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his first wife Jean Sparks Taylor; brother, Bill Taylor; and sisters, Mattie Sue Mc Donald and Lillian Loudermilk.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Taylor of Blue Ridge; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary Glenn Taylor and Wanda Taylor of Dalton, GA, Timothy Olin Taylor and Susie Garland of Mineral Bluff, and Tommy Bryson of Montgomery, AL; sister-in-law, Mamie Taylor; grandchildren, Christopher (Jenny) Taylor, Nathan (Sonal) Taylor, Nicholas (Julie) Taylor, Jarrett Bryson, and Zada Bryson; and great grandchild, Emma Rose Taylor.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Michael Morton officiating. Pallbearers will be Chris Taylor, Nicholas Taylor, Nathan Taylor, Jarrett Bryson, Greg Taylor, and Johnny Montgomery. Military Honors will be by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Interment will follow in Chastain Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00-9:00 p.m.
