Mrs. Iva Lorean Pope, age 68, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013 at her home.Mrs. Pope was born in Fannin County, GA on November 30, 1944 to the late Ferda Lee Stewart and Hattie Patterson. She was a member of Sunrise Tabernacle and was preceded in death by her husband Randall Pope.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Sharon Pope of Blue Ridge and Randy and Sharlene Pope of Blue Ridge; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and Dwight Smith of Rydal, GA and Diane and Arthur Young of Canton, GA; brothers, Bobby Stewart and John Stewart, both of Blue Ridge; two sisters, Marie Green of Overland Park, KS and Miney Cochran of Varnell, GA; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Edmond Miller and Rev. Freeman Hamrick. Pallbearers will be Dewayne Pope, Bryant Pope, Dulan Smith, Chris Pope, Marvin Patterson, and Bill Cole. Honorary pallbearers will be Tanner Pope, Bryson Smith, and Brady Smith. Interment will follow in Sunrise Tabernacle.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday after 5:00 p.m. and also Tuesday evening.
