Carl Lewis Trammell : Obituary

Mr. Carl Lewis Trammell, 63 of Mineral Bluff, Georgia died on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Copper Basin Medical Center in Copperhill, TN, following an extended illness.Born Sunday, September 18, 1949 in Copperhill, TN, he was the son of the late, Luther Trammell and the late, Julia Ray Nicholson. He was also preceded in death by his son, Kevin Trammell. He was employed by Fannin County Sherriff’s Dept. as a Deputy Sherriff until his retirement. He was a Veteran of Vietnam, serving in the U.S. Army, 82nd Airborne Division. He entered the service in August, 1967 and did Basic training at Ft. Campbell, KY. He was a member of McCaysville Church of God.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Marieda McDonald Trammell; one brother, Hubert Chuck Nicholson of Dalton, GA; many other relatives and friends.

A Funeral service will be at Saturday January 12, at 2:00 p.m. from the McCaysville Church of God with Rev. Steve Lamb and Rev. Tommy Bell officiating. Music will be by the church choir. Pallbearers will be Dwayne Housley, Max Housley, Johnny Housley, David Duez, Arvil Mealer, Tom Eads, Steve Kovosky, Tom Wade and Charles Patterson. Interment will be in Union Baptist Cemetery with full military honors provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard.

The family will meet with friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
