Dorothy, lovingly known to family and friends as “Dot”, Bigham, age 75, of Turtletown, TN passed away Monday, November 12, 2012.Dot was a daughter of the late Harry Glenn and Allie Mae Cearley Monteith. She had worked for the Polk County Board of Education as a Paraprofessional for seventeen years at Copper Basin High School. She was a volunteer with the Community Thrift Store and of the Church of God faith.
She is survived by children, Kim Bigham of Rio Rancho, NM, Glenn Bigham of Dallas, GA, Sheila Bigham Evilsizer of Cedar Park, TX; siblings Doris Housley of Copperhill, TN, Dianne Gilmore of Tyrone, GA; four grandchildren, Michael David Evilsizer, Jordan Scott Bigham, Kaitlyn Nichole Bigham and Erica Jade Barron.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 16th at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Donald Weaver and Rev. Robert Hughes officiating. Music will be by Jeff George. Pallbearers include Jonathan Housley, Mark Long, Ken Wooten, Ricky Tallent, Pete Gray, Brad Welch and Bryan Ragsdale. Interment will follow in the Crestlawn cemetery.
