Edna Pauline Panter : Obituary

Mrs. Edna Pauline Panter, age 94, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Monday, September 10, 2012 in the Heritage Health Care Center in Blue Ridge, GA.Mrs. Panter was born on April 5, 1918 in Murray County, GA to the late Charles Everett West and Mattie Burnette West. She worked as a dietician for Fannin County Nursing Home and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband Loy Everett Panter; son, Douglas Panter; and one daughter, Doris Panter.

Survivors include two sons, Everett (Evelyn Panter of Blue Ridge and Edward (Vicky) Panter of Suches, GA; two stepsons, David (Bernice)Panter and Hubert (Star)Panter of Chatsworth, GA; two daughters, Gail (Stephen) Price of Montgomery, AL and June (Jamie) Brunny of Atlanta, GA; two stepdaughters, Bonnie (Albert) Lance of Dalton, GA and Willa Dean Adams of Akron, OH; two brothers, Billy West of Chatsworth, GA and Robert West of OH; twenty grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday September 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Salem #1 (Sugar Hill) Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Garrett officiating. Music will be by the Beach Family. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Chuck Panter, Rhett Panter, Jimmy Underwood, Joshua Underwood, Charles Garmon and Lynn Arrowood.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-9 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, GA is in charge of the arrangements.
