Time Change for Hearing in Toccoa Parking Lot Lawsuit August 28th

Currently, a lawsuit is pending to stop the general public from exiting the Toccoa River before the rapids or from parking on the county right of way and entering at this point. A hearing for this case is scheduled for Tuesday August 28, 2012, 10:30 a.m. at the Fannin County Courthouse, 400 West First Street, Blue Ridge. The Rapids on the Toccoa River have been utilized by many of you over the course of the past five decades. As you may be aware, there is a pending law suit to stop the general public from exiting the river before the rapids or from parking on the county right of way and entering the river at this point. This case is scheduled for a hearing on TUESDAY, August 28, 2012 at the Fannin County Courthouse, 400 West First Street, Blue Ridge. The hearing will be held on the third floor; the Honorable Brenda Weaver presiding. Many of you have indicated that you wanted to be present at the hearing. Many of you have already signed affidavits as to your utilization of the river over the years. If you have not signed an affidavit and would like to do so, I can accept them until Monday morning at 10. If you would just to be present to see what happens, you are most welcome. Please allow time to clear security at the Courthouse. The hearing is scheduled to commence at 10:30 A.M.. Thank you.
