The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces the death of Jackie Lynn Taylor, Jr., age 50, of Blue Ridge, GA who passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at his home.He was born on May 5, 1962 in Blue Ridge, GA. Jackie worked with USCarrier Telecom as a fiber-optic field technician. He was a member of Pine Top Baptist Church in Blairsville, GA. Jackie was a member of the following: Kena Temple Shrine Club, Flying Fez and East Gate Lodge #54 Washington, D.C. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Boyd and Reba Carringer.
He is survived by mother, Lyn Carringer Lord of Blue Ridge, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Robin and Gary T. Patterson of Blue Ridge and Nancy Melissa and Ricky Bramlett of Jasper, GA; nieces, Kelsey Patterson, Sarah and Amanda Bramlett; nephews, Caleb and Cainan Patterson also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Brother Rex Carringer and Brother Gary T. Patterson officiating. Pallbearers will be Terry Miller, Jeff Roper, Vernon Weeks, Paul Cochran, Jason Dickey, Scott Kiker and Gary Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Employees of USCarrier Telecom, Alan Stites and Ricky Bramlett. Interment will follow in Chastain Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, June 11, 2012 after 3:00 p.m.
