In recognition of School Board Appreciation Week (March 12-16), Superintendent Mark Henson acknowledged the members of the Fannin County Board of Education at last week’s March meeting. Henson called them vital to the education process and said they can all be called teachers.
“I can truly say,”
he said,
“I’m honored to be the superintendent for this board, because you are all selfless.”
He added that they work hard to give the students of Fannin County the best education they can give them. The superintendent then distributed a certificate of appreciation to each board member. The board consists of Sandra Mercier as Chairperson, Steve Stanley as Vice Chair, Bobby Beardon, Terry Bramlett, and Lewis DeWeese.
“All I can say is Thank you from our children; thank you from our public and I want to say as a superintendent it is an honor to work with each and every one of you…I can truly call you all educators,”
Henson said.
