The Lady Rebels and Lady Panthers were playing equally during the first quarter of action. Even though Union had hit a few 3 pointers in this quarter, Fannin was able to respond and keep the score tied at 13 all after the first quarter. The 3 balls kept falling for Union though and the Lady Panthers went in at the half leading 36-19. Ashley Ellison was a bright spot for the Lady Rebels, scoring 11 points with 9 of those points coming from beyond the three point line. Hope Cochran added 5 points, but she worked hard under the basket defensively to try and help the Lady Rebel mount some sort of a comeback against Union. Try as they might they could not bridge the gap, losing to Union 61-38.

The boys started out slow to begin the game, letting Union do just about anything they wanted to in the first half of the game. The Panthers were leading at the half 32-19, but coming out of the locker room at the start of the third the boys tried to make a comeback in the game. They had closed the gap at the end of the third to 12 points, trailing 42-30. Luke Adams and Will Patterson were having a field day, scoring at will in the paint. Adams came away from the game with 11 points. Will Patterson dominated the game offensively for the Rebels, scoring 20 points and looking seemingly unstoppable whenever he got the ball. Jonathan Vecchio put in a good effort offensively as well, scoring 10 points, but fouled out of the game with 2:22 left in the game. The Rebels tried to close the gap as much as they could but fell short, losing 57-48.
