Mr. Carl Edwin Mitchell, 72 of Kennesaw, GA,passed away on Friday, January 20, 2012, Marietta, GA. He was born in Ellijay, GA the son of the late Mark and Ellen Eller Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell served in the U.S. Army.

Surviving are his wife of fifty four years, Frances Galloway Mitchell; brother, Gene and Betty Priest Mitchell of Marietta, GA; sister, Mildred Hancock of Flagler Beach, FL; mother-in-law, Annie Galloway of Blue Ridge, and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Monday January 23rd at the Akins Chapel with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Interment will be in Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery.
