Leon Carr : Obituary

Mr. Leon Carr, age 56 of Blue Ridge, passed away January 17, 2012 at Heritage Health Care of Blue Ridge, GA. Mr. Carr was born February 9, 1955 in Copperhill, TN to the late John Wesley Carr, Sr. and the late Birdie Payne Carr. He was preceded in death by a brother James Douglas Carr.

Survivors include: sister & brother-in-law, Margaret (James) McClain, sister, Annette Cockerill, sister & brother-in-law, Amelia (David) Craig, sister, Sue Griffith, sister & brother-in-law, Jean (John) Jones, sister & brother-in-law, Edna Lea (Terry) Hedden, Brother, John Wesley Carr, Jr., sister & brother-in-law, Marijoyce (Rob) Porcelli.

Funeral services: Friday, January 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Jess Posey & Rev. William Wayland Lovine officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: James Carr, Jim McClain, Terry Hedden, David Craig, Larry Sosebee, & Rob Porcelli.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Wednesday, January 18, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. & Thursday, January 19, 2012 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
