Kenneth Wimberley : Obituary

Mr. Kenneth Lee Wimberley, age 50, of Rock Springs, GA passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2011 in the Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN.He was born in Polk County, TN on July 28, 1961. He as a Business Analyst for Propex, Inc. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of MCaysville, a member of the Blue Ridge Lodge #67 F&AM, and a United States Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Tracy Wimberley of Rock Springs, GA; parents, Shelbia and Nick Wimberley of McCaysville, GA; brother, Timothy G. Wimberley of Suwanee, GA; father-in-law, Elliot Wiener of Wellington, FL; mother-in-law, Dodi Wiener of Rock Springs, GA; grandmother, Blanche Wimberley of Ducktown, TN; 3 nieces and several cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, August 28, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Matthew McDaniel and Rev. Scott Graves officiating. Music will be by Harry and Katie Gilbert. Pallbearers will be Bill Tilley, Jim Barker, Lane Welch, Kenny Cook, Bryant Welch, David Whittenbarger, and Mason Brewer. Masonic services will be provided by Blue Ridge Lodge #67 F&AM. Military honors will be by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge is in charge of arrangements.
