Mrs. Alice Sheely, age 84, of the Life Care Center of Copper Basin passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011.Mrs. Sheely was born in Inez, KY to the late Walbridge and Ada Moore Cornett. She was a member of the McCaysville Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband Eugene Sheely of the home; sons, Robert (Melanie) Sheely of McCaysville, GA, John Sheely of Brookings, Oregon, Jim (Debbie)Sheely of Glendale, AZ; daughter Mrs. Alice (Min. Bill) Johnston of McCaysville,GA; sister, Nancy Davis of Ohio; eight grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 27th at 12:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Minister Bill Johnston and Minister Keith Ritchie officiating. Music will be by Jason Cook and Joey Cook. Interment will follow Sunday, May 29th in the Petersburg Cemetery of St. John Lutheran Church in Petersburg, Ohio.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Sheely may be made to the McCaysville Church of Christ Building Fund. Condolences to the family may be sent to www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
