Lissie Weaver: Obituary

The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces the death of Lissie Walker Weaver, age 86, of Turtletown, TN who passed away Monday, January 10, 2011.Mrs. Weaver was born in Cherokee County, NC to the late T.M. and Margaret Lovell Baker. She was a homemaker and a member of the Turtletown Church of God of Prophecy. She was also preceded in death by husbands, Boyd Walker and Ernest Weaver and thirteen siblings. She is survived by sons, Leroy Walker of Turtletown, TN, Mickey Walker of Ducktown, TN; daughters, Wanda Green of Young Harris, GA, Carolyn Baine of Ducktown, TN, Linda Coleman of Turtletown, TN; eleven grandchildren, Doris Lynn Green, Barry Ray Green, James Haven Baine, Donnie Matthew Coleman, Kevin Lee Coleman, Michael Paul Coleman, Dana Marie Payne, Jennifer Carter, Kristie Pickelsimer, Allen Walker and River Underwood. Twenty two great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 14th at 2:00 P.M. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Joey Whittenbarger, Rev. Jonathan Smith and Rev. Joe Baker officiating.

Music will be by Abbey and Gracie Smith and Katie and Ivy Coleman. Grandsons serving as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers include, Haven Baine, Jason Baine, Donnie Coleman, Mikey Coleman, Lynn Green, Barry Green, Kevin Coleman, Christopher Green, Matthew Green and Ryan Green. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening, January 13th from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
