FYN’s Fannin County Year In Review

Community, Featured Stories

Join FYN as we say farewell to 2012 with our special video highlighting the stories that moved Fannin County this past year. Here, you’ll see clips of the Swan Theatre saga; the controversial My Mountain water debate, and highpoints of the heated and dramatic 2012 Election Cycle! As we journey through this movie of memories, FYN would like to wish Fannin County a Happy New Year and we look forward to serving you in 2013!

FYN wanted to highlight some of our past stories that played a big part in the Fannin County community this year for 2012.

Some of our major stories around the county this past year featured such events from the most recent touching Blue Ridge Prayer Vigil memorial to the students of Sandy Hook Elementary School, FYN’s year round coverage of Fannin County’s third grade writing students, big decisions such as the city of Blue Ridge repairing the historic Swan Drive in Theatre, and other major events such as losing the Toccoa River Restaurant in a fire earlier this year.

However, as we did not want to leave on that note, we have also included more uplifting events such as Blue Ridge’s celebrated annual Fall Arts in Park, downtown Blue Ridge’s well reviewed Fifth Annual Taste of Blue Ridge benefit, and much, much more.

Overall, we hope you enjoy our year in review, but most of all enjoy 2013 as much as we did 2012!
