Rebels Sweep Gordon Central, Get Back To .500 On The Year

Fannin Co.- Last week, the Fannin County Rebels baseball team only allowed 4 runs over 3 games with the Gordon Central Warriors which led to a 3 game sweep for the Rebels. After dropping a game to Holy Innocents on Saturday the Rebels sit at 8-8 on the year, and in 4th place in Region 7AA.

REGION 7AA STANDINGS

 

The pitching for Fannin County was phenomenal against the Warriors. In the first game against Gordon Central, senior Jordan Bennet pitched a shutout, striking out 7 along the way. Jason Pearson took the mound in the second game striking out 15 batters while allowing 3 runs on 3 hits. In the final game against Gordon Central, Chance Stacy got the win and Gavin Davis came on in relief, as the 2 combined to throw a 1 hit game.

Up next for the Rebels will be a 3 game stretch against Dade County. Fannin will look to climb the Region 7AA ladder this week, traveling to Dade on Tuesday and hosting the Wolverines for a double header on Friday.
