Mr. William Ralph Sparks, age 64, of Morganton, GA passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016 at his home. Mr. Sparks was born in Copperhill, TN on September 7, 1952 to the late Reathel Marie Hembree Sparks and Clarence Sparks. He worked as a Dairy Farmer and was a member of Macedonia Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Sparks.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Sparks of Morganton; sons and daughter-in-law, Josh Sparks of Morganton, GA and Caleb and Ashley Sparks of Morganton, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Carlton Davis of Morganton, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Randy Thomas of Blairsville, GA; and five grandchildren, Bradin Davis, Dawson Sparks, Jordan Bennett, Abbey Sparks, and Zander Sparks.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 16, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Min. Butch Jones officiating. Music will be by Dayton and Stacy Dyer. Pallbearers will be Gary Long, Joe Long, Dale Green, Jody Wilson, B.J. Howard, Michael Davis, and Ray Long. Interment will follow in Hemptown Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening after 1:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted but for those desiring, contributions may be made to help defray final expenses.
