FYN has been informed that Jordan Scott Garren of Blue Ridge has been arrested for Terroristic Threats and Possession of Explosives/Fireworks in link to the Windy Ridge Road case. Garren was charged with one count of Bomb Threats.
On the day of the bomb threat FYN brought you this story.
FYN received a tip that Fannin County Sheriff’s department responded to a second location at the corner of Windy Ridge and Industrial Park. Officer Todd Pack told FYN that they were still in the process of clearing the second home.
Nearby business owner, Amy Mason told FYN that Sheriff Kirby informed them this morning that he would notify them if they needed to evacuate, which was not necessary at this point.

FYN spoke with Fannin Fire Chief Larry Thomas and informed us they were there on stand-by, by the request of law enforcement and the GBI. Three devices were detonated by the GBI bomb squad. The vehicle and house were cleared by GBI around 2:30.
Kirby also revealed that one suspect has been detained. He was the grandson of Bonnie Russell, the homeowner of the home at the corner of Windy Ridge and Industrial park.
“He had been staying with her here and there for a little while but I don’t know the exact amount of time”
Kirby said. The GBI cleared the scene at approximately 2:25 pm. Kirby explained that they were going to do one final sweep of Russell’s home then clear the scene.
