Effie Louise Gibson, age 69, of Turtletown, TN passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012.Effie was a native of the Copper Basin area and was a daughter of the late Taft and Lucy Loudermilk Gibson. She was retired sewing machine operator working at the Chrysler Auto Manufacturing in Detroit, MI. She was of the Baptist faith. She was also preceded in death by daughter, Pamela Denise Spurlock and siblings, Leon, Cleaston, Dan and Pete Gibson and Sally Jones.

She is survived by children, Roy Spurlock of Baxter, TN, William Taft Spurlock of Milwaukee, WI, Lita Ann Hope of Knoxville, TN, Robert Spurlock of McCaysville, GA; sister, Dot Dunn of Rocky Face, GA; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be conducted Sunday, August 5th at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with visitation from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
