I am lifelong resident of Fannin County, and have announced my candidacy for Judge of the Fannin County Probate Court.
Amy Green Mason states
“I have studied the probate judge’s duties extensively and feel I would be an asset to the office,”. “For instance, the new mental health court is an excellent alternative to keeping people in jail. Figures prove that in many cases, with the right resources and medi…cation, people who are jailed could become productive, even raising their own children.”
I attended the Drug Court Graduation, and I was humbled to see the changes in those candidates lives; bravo to our Superior Court Judges and their endless hours of dedication and their faith in the candidates.
In 2007, I was named Fannin County Citizen of the Year by the Northeast Georgia Board of Realtors.
I has served on the Fannin County Empty Stocking Program board of directors for 10 years, and have been the organization’s president for the last three years. I have always been committed to this community and the citizens of it. I take this position very seriously, this is not a career for just any type of personality. I will be a fulltime judge with a full-time open door policy. I am elected by the people, therefore I work for the people.
I hope that my volunteer history proves that I have a true desire to serve the people of Fannin County and this is just the next logical step in my service to this community. I know what it is like to sacrifice time away from my family to meet the needs of others and I find that an honor that I have had the opportunity to serve those less fortunate.
