Reid Holloway’s Big Night At The Plate Lifts Fannin Past Dade

TeamFYNSports

The Fannin County Rebels made the trip to Dade County on Tuesday and came home with a solid 7-4 win, fueled by a big night at the plate from Reid Holloway and a strong showing on the mound from Casen Bailey.

Holloway stayed hot all evening, going 3-for-4 with singles scattered across the first, third, and seventh innings. He also caused problems on the bases, swiping two bags as the Rebels turned up the pressure early and often.

Fannin wasted no time setting the tone. The Rebels pushed four runs across in the opening inning, taking advantage of patience at the plate and a costly Dade County error. Eli Queen brought in a run with a sacrifice fly, while Holloway added another with an RBI single as Fannin quickly grabbed control.

They added to the lead in the third when Hudson York was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, stretching the advantage to 6-0.

On the mound, Bailey delivered a gritty performance, striking out 11 over six and two-thirds innings. He scattered five hits and allowed four runs, keeping the Wolverines at bay long enough for the Rebels’ offense to build a cushion.

At the plate, Fannin showed discipline all night, drawing nine walks. Karson Brown and Cayden Reece each worked three free passes, helping keep innings alive. The Rebels also stayed aggressive on the basepaths, racking up seven stolen bases as a team.

Rylin Davis added a pair of hits, while Queen, York, Bailey, Nate O’Neal, and Holloway each drove in a run to round out the offensive effort.

Dade County was led by Kaiden Hubbard, Davis Wadkins, Jaxx McMahan, Evan Mims, and Parker Hill, who each recorded a hit. Hubbard and McMahan accounted for the Wolverines’ RBIs.

With the win, Fannin County keeps momentum rolling as the Rebels prepare to face Dade County again on Friday.
