Fannin Defeats Thomasville, Advances To Elite 8

Watkins led the charge, scoring 12 of his 22 points in a commanding third quarter that saw the Rebels outscore Thomasville 22-3. The defensive intensity and rebounding effort flipped the game’s momentum for good.

Fannin controlled the glass all night, finishing with 40 rebounds and five blocked shots. Watkins anchored the effort inside, while the Rebels’ balanced attack provided steady support.

Matthew Ponton added 16 points, including two three-pointers, and dished out five assists to lead the team’s ball movement. Kolton Kaylor contributed 10 points, while Brody Henson added seven. Hudson York, Tyler Blake, and Kolby Kaylor also chipped in key minutes and points as Fannin pulled away late.
