21st Annual Mardi Gras in the Mountains Raises $100,579.10 for Local Charities in Jasper

FANNIN COUNTY, Ga. – The 21st Annual Mardi Gras in the Mountains gala, held February 14, 2026, in Jasper, raised $100,579.10 to support local charitable organizations.

The event took place from 6:30 to 11 p.m. at the Chattahoochee Technical College Appalachian Campus and featured dinner, live music, a silent auction and the coronation of the 2026 King and Queen.

Chris Parker and Ashley Gooch were crowned the 2026 King and Queen of Mardi Gras during the evening’s festivities.

Proceeds from the evening benefit Georgia Mountains Hospice, the Rotary Club of Jasper and the Knights of Columbus. Organizers said the annual gala continues to serve as a major fundraiser supporting hospice care and community service initiatives in Pickens County and surrounding areas.

Georgia Mountains Hospice provides care and support to individuals facing life-limiting illnesses. The nonprofit organization offers nursing services, personal care, occupational, physical and speech therapy, dietary services, medical equipment and medication assistance. In addition to clinical care, the organization provides emotional and spiritual support to patients and families, including bereavement and grief services, helping ensure comfort and dignity in the setting chosen by the patient and their loved ones.
