Balanced Effort Lifts Lady Rebels Past Gordon Lee
A strong team performance propelled the Fannin County Lady Rebels to a 47–26 win over Gordon Lee on Saturday.
Reese Lewis and Avi Ethington each scored 10 points to lead the scoring attack, with Lewis also controlling the glass by pulling down 13 rebounds. After falling behind 8–4 early, the Lady Rebels responded with a 12-point run to seize momentum and take control of the game.
Fannin County carried a 16–10 lead into halftime and never allowed Gordon Lee to get back within striking distance. The decisive stretch came in the third quarter, when the Lady Rebels outscored their opponent 21–9, moving the ball well and finishing the period with five assists.
Dominance inside proved to be a major factor, as Fannin County won the rebounding battle with 41 boards and consistently controlled the paint. Lewis led the way on the boards, while Toccoa Hampton added nine points. Albany Cole, Izzie Jabaley, and Brooklyn Owenby each chipped in six points to round out the balanced scoring effort.
The victory showcased depth, defense, and disciplined play as the Lady Rebels continued to build momentum this season.
