Public Health Weather Closure

PRESS RELEASE – Due to expected hazardous weather in North Georgia, all North Georgia Health District public health offices will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026, out of an abundance of caution for staff and community safety.

This closure includes:

  • The North Georgia Health District office in Dalton
  • County health departments in Cherokee, Fannin, Gilmer, Murray, Pickens, and Whitfield counties
  • Environmental Health offices
  • WIC services
  • Living Bridge Center clinics in Canton, Dalton, and Gainesville

Updates:

Any changes, including delayed openings or additional closures, will be posted at www.nghd.org.
