B. Alison Sosebee sworn in as Judge of the Superior Court of the Appalachian Judicial Circuit

On Friday, Jan. 12, the community and community leaders celebrated the new Judge Alison Sosebee. 

 

Judge Wever spoke on Judge Sosbee’s background in law and how excited she was for Judge Sosebee.

 

“When the governor chose her I will admit I had a grin on my face – we now have three female superior court judges.”

 

Then Judge Alison Sosebee delivered her thanks saying, “I feel very blessed and honored to continue to serve the circuit and blessed to have my family and the support of many.” 

 

Additionally, she thanked her former team after their dedication to her as the district attorney. 

 

Lastly, she swore in Frank Wood as the official District Attorney as her first official act. 

 

In closing, Frank Wood awarded Judge Sosebee with a plaque of appreciation.
