Chatsworth, GA- The Fannin County Rebels traveled to Murray County on Saturday to take on the North Murray Mountaineers in a Region 7AA matchup.

Fannin was able to overcome the Mountaineers thanks to some timely team hitting, and some stellar pitching from Sophomore Bristol Hughes.

Hughes was able to go all 7 innings on the mound for the Rebels, as he surrendered just one run on two hits while striking out ten on his way to a complete game victory.

Fannin took the lead early in the first inning and never looked back, as an error brought Carson Callihan in for the first run of the game. Callihan led the Rebels at the plate, going 3-4 with an RBI. Bryson Holloway also had a multi-hit game vs North Murray, going 2-4 with two doubles.

The Rebels move to 9-6 on the year, and they will be back in action on Tuesday night as they will travel to Rockmart to take on the Region-leading Jackets.
