FANNIN COUNTY – On Thursday Feb. 23, 2023, Bearry Coleman, 52 of Epworth and Austin Bean, 27, of McCaysville, were arrested following an investigation into the sale of methamphetamine conducted by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office, Fannin County Sheriff’s Office, Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office and the Cherokee County (North Carolina) Sheriff’s Office.
Coleman was charged with two counts of sale of methamphetamine, trafficking in methamphetamine, and possession of drug related objects.
Bean was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
The two men were arrested following a search warrant executed at a home in Epworth.
Approximately 60 grams of methamphetamine and several drug related objects were seized as a result of the search warrant.
Coleman and Bean were booked into the Fannin County Adult Detention Center.
