Fannin County Football Remembers 9/11, Honors 13 Service Men and Women & All Decade Team. Route Raiders 35-6

Friday Night, September 10th was a special night at Fannin County High School. Fannin County High School and the Football team held a moment of silence for the 13 service men and women who recently lost their lives in the tragic events on August 23rd, 2021. There was also a moment of silence to honor the 20th anniversary of September 11th, 2001. 14 Flags were place beside the Student Section Pre Game. 13 for the attacks last August, and 1 Flag for September 11th.

1st Quarter

David Mashburn found Seth Reece for a 13 Yard Touchdown pass with 9:39 left in the 1st Quarter. Austin Garland found paydirt from 9 yards out with 6:39 left in the 1st quarter to take a 14-0 lead.

2nd Quarter

David Mashburn would find Seth Reece again for a 19 Yard Touchdown pass with 10:59 left in 2nd Quarter. The Rebels would take a 21-0 Lead. Austin Garland would score another Touchdown this time on the ground from 21 yards out to take a 28-0 Lead. Mashburn would find Carter Mann for a 14 yard touchdown pass to make it 35-0 with 5:36 remaining in the half.

That would be all the scoring for the Rebels as they would hold on to a 35-6 win.

Fannin County will travel to Homer to play Banks County Friday Night September 17th. Coach Chad Cheatham will return to Banks a school that he has spent time with and was briefly the Head Coach there before accepting the Head Coaching Job at Fannin. Kickoff is 7:30pm
