Starting this year, #TeamFYNsports will be bringing you their top football games of the week for our local area football teams.

Team FYN sports director Jake West and Fannin County Rec. Department Athletic Coordinator Tim Towe will also be giving you their picks to win these games of the week.

Tim Towe and Jake West both picked all the games correctly last week, moving Tim to 25-6 overall, with Jake closely behind at 21-6.

Now, lets get to our #TeamFYNsports week 9 games of the week!

North Hall @ Gilmer

Tim: Interesting game here. Both teams run the Wing T. I think North Hall wins this one and pulls away in the second half.

Jake: Should be a good game if you like old school football. I would expect to see a lot of fancy passing plays or flashy stuff. Just hard nosed, smash mouth football. I’m gonna go with Gilmer here, I think. Being at home should play into what the cats are gonna want to do tonight, so I am going with the purple to get it done.

Model @ Fannin

Tim: Give me the Rebels. Should be a great atmosphere tonight.

Jake: If I am not mistaken, I think this is a matchup between the number 1 and number 2 teams in Region 7AA. Should be a good first half with both teams fired up, but I have to go with Fannin to get it done. Another game where the home crowd will be a factor and this is a Rebels team that whole heartedly has the communities support.

Lumpkin @ White

Tim: Give me White big in this one.

Jake: Im taking the Warriors as well.

Elbert @ Union

Tim: This one has potential to be the best game of the week out of the 4 we are picking from. I like Union by 7.

Jake: Im going with the Panthers. I think they handle Elbert and are able to get back on track after their COVID off weeks and stumbling a bit last week against Banks.
