Law enforcement makes arrest in Tin Loong stabbing incident

BLUE RIDGE, Ga – Fannin County Sheriff’s Office arrested a male on alleged aggravated assault charges in connection with the Tin Loong restaurant stabbing that took place on Feb. 27.

Hung Duc Vuong was apprehended on Feb. 27 at approximately 3:15 p.m. for reportedly stabbing a fellow Tin Loong employee. According to the booking report, the offense occurred that morning.

Vuong was booked on one charge of aggravated assault and bond has yet to be set.

According to O.C.G.A., aggravated assault occurs when a person commits an action with a) intent to rape, rob, or murder, b) “With a deadly weapon or with any object, device, or instrument which, when used offensively against a person, is likely to or actually does result in serious bodily injury, c) With any object, device, or instrument which, when used offensively against a person, is likely to or actually does result in strangulation; or d) A person or persons without legal justification by discharging a firearm from within a motor vehicle toward a person or persons.”

The reasoning behind the Tin Loong stabbing at this time is still unknown.
